I've been a Volunteer in YDF since 2002. It was at da YDF Focal Persons Meeting held at Hotel Druk that I first met U la. U had come as a Facilitator, speaking on behalf of the NTTA. (I remember U dancing to Gola Bumthang Mathra energetically that time. Lol.)
We me subsequently in another meeting in 2003 at the old Youth Center. (We danced again that time. Lol.)
I was in the group who started Youth Volunteers in Action (Y-VIA) in 2003. We did some fund-raising work for the YDF and participated in many awareness workshops and came up with a couple of projects also. It is with pride that I can say Y-VIA has branched out to a couple of Dzongkhags and now involves a lot of school-going youth as well as those who're not studying; exactly how we envisioned Y-VIA to perform when we created it.
YDF has done an amazing job till now and it will continue to do so. It has made a difference in the lives of so many young Bhutanese; it surely has made a huge difference in mine.
I join U in congratulating YDF, the Office Bearers and the Managing Board, and all those who were involved in its many projects, for being directly responsible for that difference in our lives.
